Moon’s Side of Alola

Pokémon Moon is the companion to Sun, set in the same Hawaii-inspired Alola region with its own exclusive Pokémon and story beats. The game runs 12 hours behind Sun, so night falls when it is day in the real world. Lunala leads the box art, and the island trials play out with a moodier atmosphere. Prefer daytime? Citra Performance: Moon Edition

Pokémon Moon runs great on Citra. Like Sun, it is demanding, so a strong CPU gives the best results. Most modern PCs play it at full speed, and recent Android phones handle it well at 1x or 2x resolution.

Moon Citra Settings That Work

1. Set the graphics renderer to Hardware. Software mode is far too slow for a game this demanding.
2. Use 2x resolution on PC for sharp visuals. On Android, 1x keeps the frame rate steady on older phones.
3. Turn on the hardware shader. It fixes missing textures in cutscenes and battles.
4. Enable audio stretching if the music stutters during long cutscenes.

On Android? Follow the install guide.
