Tomodachi Life is a life simulation game by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. You fill an island with Mii characters and watch their lives unfold as they make friends, fall in love, and get into funny daily situations. There is no hero and no final boss. Tomodachi Life on Citra

Tomodachi Life runs excellently on Citra. It is one of the lightest 3DS games, so most modern PCs and phones from the last few years hold full speed with the default settings. For the cleanest picture, use the hardware renderer and turn on the hardware shader.

Best Settings for Tomodachi Life on Citra

1. Set the graphics renderer to Hardware. Software mode runs the game but it is very slow, so hardware rendering is the way to go for full speed.
2. Raise the internal resolution to 2x or 3x on PC for crisp visuals. On Android, stay at 1x or 2x to keep the frame rate smooth.
3. Turn on the hardware shader. It clears up nearly every visual glitch in the game.
4. Enable audio stretching if the sound crackles. It keeps the audio smooth when the frame rate dips for a moment.
